Perfectly Preserved Apple thank you card

November is the month that makes me think of the harvest, being grateful for all my blessings, family and good food.  Stampin' Up! Perfectly Perserved stamp set and Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper can help you create a card that has the same feelings. 

I used different size strips of the Orchard paper and then layered this on Vanilla cardstock.  Added a Early Espression cardstock piece and the jar that had been stamped and cut using my Big Shot and the coordinating framelits Dies Cannery Set.  I stamped the apple image inside the jar and stamped the lid and cut it out as well.

Toxic Treats trick or treat card

Happy Halloween, I hope you enjoy all the little scary people who come to your door tonight.  They won't have to pass through a scary gate like the one on this card but the night should be filled with excitement and a little bit of "boo".

This card was shared with me by Kimberly Van Dispen.  I like the layered ribbon effect that was created using the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series paper.  This has been one of my favorite collections in the mini catalog.  The background of this card was rolled with the etruscan Elegance roller and on this card it creates atmospere but can be very elegant in a different setting.

Perfectly Preserved couple

I guess this was not the best title a perfectly perserved couple sound old but what I meant was perfect together.  

I had fun creating this card using Stampin' Up!'s Perfectly Preserved stamp set and framelits dies that match.  The new woodgrain embossing folder and Big Shot machine created the background for my jar that was cut using the framelits as well.  I love cutting the jar lid from the desginer paper Orchard Harvest and then stamped the image over the paper and cut it out.  It makes it look like fabric.  I hand wrote the perfect pair tag that hangs from the jar.  

A little linen thread, tiny brads add the finishing accents.  Who do you consider a perfect couple?  leave me a message and let me know?

Toxic Treats glitter card

My friend Mary Polcin gave me this beautiful card, if a Halloween card can be beautiful.  It is using Stampin' Up!'s Toxic Treats stamp set and the new glitter paper.  Gitter and Halloween seem to go together so well on this card.  

I loved the spider web embossing folder background, this was done with folder and Big Shot.  Also the image, image frame and the glitter paper were cut using Stampin' Up!'s Labels Collection Framelits.  It is wonderful having so many different sizes in one small package and a small price as well.

Perfectly Preserved Corn

I had fun creating this thank you card using the new Core'dinations Card Stock by Stampin' Up!  The stamp set and matching dies made it a lot of fun as well.  

Core'dinations Card Stock lets you distress the thick cardstock layer and let the core of the paper show through.  I used the new Chevron embossing folder to create the background for my corn which I used the marker techinque for coloring and the matching die and Big Shot machine to cut them out.  I added a pin for interest.  

I will be teaching this card at a hand on class at my home this coming Saturday and look forward to sharing the fun I had with others.

Blue Ribbon Day

One of my stamping friends, Susy Miller, created this blue ribbon day card for someone special birthday.  Lots of layers and fun textures makes this a winner just like Stampin' Up!'s Blue Ribbon stamp set is a winner.  I wish they had this set when my kids were young and you wanted to do classroom rewards or just leave a little note to tell my child how proud I was of their accomplishments.  

Blue ribbon day has a textured background that was created with the Big Shot and the dotted embossing folder.  Texture always seems to add interest to any project.

Betsy Blossom thinking of you card

Stampin' Up!'s  Betsy Blossom stamp set is very versatile stamp set.  I also like the designer series papers that match the stamp set.  I used both the stamp and paper for this thinking of you card.  

To create the flower I stamped the image in Rich Razzleberry ink and sponged over it with More Mustard ink and punch it using the 2 1/2 circle punch and layered it on the card using dimensionals. 

The paper was cut and layered onto the bottom of the card and I used the Big Shot and Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die to create the zig zag border.  I used ribbon for the flower stem and cut out leaves that was stamped with Rich Razzleberry on Old Olive cardstock.  

This is a quick "thinking of you" card that I am sure your friends would love to get in the mail.

Elegant, stylist and wow

This fun card was created with Stampin' Up!'s Establish Elegance stamp set.  I really like this set, it has so many pieces that work well together and yet you can create a different look with each one.  

The colors are Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and Comfort Cafe Designer series paper all from Stampin' Up!

The technique I use was a torn edge, this softens the edges and creates a stylist look.  I added an Antique brad accent and used it to tie linen thread to.

Bright Blossom hello card

This simple little card was made using Stampin' Up!'s Bright Blossom stamp set.  I stamped on whisper white cardstock and layer a few more flowers with dimensionals.  Punched the image with large circle punch and added a freehand frame.  

The 3 sqares were punched from the coordinating designer papers for the Bright Blossom stamp set.  Add a little ribbon and a hello tag and you have simple little card that would be a fun surprise in someone's mailbox.

Patterned Party Birthday card

It's a party!  This stamp set was new last year and I liked it so right away I ordered it and sent it to my friend in Georgia where Ted was suppose to be going in a few weeks, that was last fall and because of a change of schedule Ted did not go back until late spring so my stamp set sat in Georgia for months and of course I did not want to purchase it again because I knew it was there.  

So when this stamp set and I got in the same place I quickly put it together to play with it.  This card was one of my creations.  It was created for my Hands On class last month.  I used Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight and the new paper Summer Smooches.  

Most of this card was done with marker techniques.  The Happy Birthday I used the technique of omitting.  The stamp has flags that say "to you" that I left off this card.  The balloons are colored with markers so they all have a different color and punched with a large circle punch.  The present used both of these techniques, I omitted the rest of the gifts and colored the ribbon a different color.  This rectangle is easy to create with punches.  First stamp the image close to the edge of your cardstock, then using a small sqaure punch, punch the image with part of the square punch hanging off the cardstock edge.  Now glue the stamped image to the edge of the color frame you want leaving a small edge of the frame color showing then using the large square punch frame in your image and punch.  Now you have a rectangle image using square punches.

Established Elegance Retreat card

It won't be too much longer and I will find myself back in the United States for summer break and Stampin' Up! convention.  This year I invited all my downline to join me at our home in Utah for a couple of days before convention for my STARZ retreat.  It will so great to see everyone again.  

As part of my retreat we each create a wow project and then bring cards to exchange.  This card is my exchange card, it has that vintage style to it.  I really like how it turned out and hope you enjoy it as well. 

I used Stampin' Up! new in color Summer Starfruit for the base and 4 x 5 1/4" Designer paper from Stampin' Up! new paper pack Comfort Cafe.  Then I  added 1/2 of the Bigz Clear Oval Accent die cut from Cajun Craze cardstock.  I stamped a flourish in Cajun Craze on the top part of the die.  I also stamped the words on the DSP paper. 

I stamped image from the Established Elegance stamp set and punched and added them to the card. The Typewriter stamped in Black stazon; framed in Soft Suede.  Circle image was stamped with Early Espresso punched with circle punch.  Crown was stamped with Cajun Craze punched with square punch and framed with Summer Starfruit cardstock punches with square punch.  The key was stamped with Black Stazon and cut out and natural twine was tied in a bow. The accents were popped off the page with dimensionals.  

 How to make the ribbon flower:  The ribbon flower is about 7 inches of seam binding ribbon, you pull a string from one edge gathering the ribbon as you pull, then I rolled and wrapped the ribbon back and forth around itself and stuck the bottom edge to a dimensional.  I used the same dimensional to stick the ribbon flower to the card.

New Catalog is coming June 1st

This stampin year we will be getting our new catalog earlier, you will be able to order from the new catalog starting June 1st.  That is a fun birthday present to me.  The new catalog will be smaller than in years past but it is packed full of the same quality rubber stamping and scrapbooking supplies.  This card was created with one of the new stamping lines called Smooch.  The stamp set is Bright Blossoms.  This little set and paper pack that matches is very versatile.  I used it for a mini scrapbook I made for my daughter.  

This card layout was copied from a card in Stampin' Up! monthly magazine they produce for their demontrators.  I just changed it up a bit.  The card was cardstock cut 4 1/4x 11 and scored with the strips embossing folder.  The tag is 2" wide, you clip the bottom to make the bottom of the tag, not perfect is best.  The rounded top was created by tracing a brad or button container making sure it was placed even on both sides of the tag's cardstock.  Everything was sponged for an antique look.  The belly band was created by punching two Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border strips from Real Red cardstock and glueing half of each along a piece of Smooch Designer paper.  I used a word window punch for greeting which can be found inTeeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and tucked it under the tag.  To finish the tag I put ribbon behind the tag and glued a button to the front with glue dots.  

I inked the Bright Blossom's stamp set with markers and stamped it on the tag and also one of the flowers on a scrap of cardstock.  Then cut it out and used a part of a dimensional to pop it up off the tag.

Sunflower card

When I was in Utah I was able to look over all my Stampin' Success, a magazine Stampin' Up! sends to their demonstrators.   I loved this card I copied from one of the Stampin' Up! magazines.  It was easy and fun and looked great when it was done.

The sunflower card was create by folding a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of black cardstock in half.  Cut a vanilla and more mustard cardstock pieces to 4 1/4 x 4 1/2 and stamp the sunflower the same way on both pieces.  Glue strips of Stampin' Up!'s first edition speciality paper on the top and bottom on stamped vanilla piece and attach it to the black card.  Now tear more mustard stamped card in a couple of pieces, attach them over the stamped vanilla cardstock positioning it so the sunflower images match up.  Then using your nail rough up the torn edges.  Add  button and small tag greeting.

Mixed Bunch flower card with embossed butterfly

I was designing scrapbooking pages and loved the idea I came up with so I created a card using the same colors and techniques.  I will show the scrap pages at a later date, they are for my April class that will be held April 14th.  This card was created using the Mixed Bunch stamp set by Stampin' Up!.  This flower set is available for at least the month of April and then the mini catalog will be retired and we will have to wait and see if it makes it in the main catalog.  If you love the flower images in this stamp set you can order today at my Stampin' Site: http://wendythestamper.stampin.net

The card is Certainly Celery cardstock, I folded a 8 1/2x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock in half then tore off the front edge and added a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I then torn the edge of a 5 1/4 x 3 1/4" Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp the flower image on white cardstock and punch using the matching punch Blossom.  I added a 3/4" circle center from scrap designer series paper.  I also stamped an image from the Mixed Bunch stamp set on certainly celery cardstock and folded in to look like a leaf.  Cut 1/4" celery cardstock for the stem and glue these piece to the front of your card.  The greeting was stamped using Wisteria Wonder ink and punched with oval punches. 

The butterfly was die cut and embossed using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  I tied the middle with Baker's twine and glued it to the card.  To order from the mini catalog before these items retire go to my Stampin' Site: http://wendythestamper.stampinup.net

Framelits Dies for simple card

In Stampin' Up!'s Occasions mini catalog they came out with Framelits dies collections.  They have a heart collection and the Labels Collection I used for this card. 

These are thin, wafer-like dies that you can cut different sizes of the same shape to create frames or to be used like I did here as a base for my image.  You can stamp first then place the Framelits die over stamped image so you get the perfect placement or just cut out a stamped image and place it over the die cut cardstock.  No matter how you use these dies I am sure you will love them. 

I will show you other samples in the future.  This simple card was made with Crumb Cake cardstock, added a scrap of the striped designer series paper pack Everyday Enchantment.  I die cut a framelits from Peach Parfait carstock and added a very vanilla oval punched image.  Added my cut of blooms from the stamp set Bordering on Romance and a punched Baja Breeze cardstock strip using the Dotted Scallop lace ribbon punch.  The words are stamped from one of my favorite stamp set in the Occasions catalog Loved Ones.  It has these great images that attach to the family words that are so much fun to use.

This card was made using the Elementary Elegance Sale-a-bration stamp set.  I love how the stamp was designed so you can punch the middle out using the Curly Label punch.  I did that on this card.  The image is stamped on the front towards to the top of the card, I then punched the inside out and stamped the greeting in the middle so it show through the window.  I added a couple of the accent images to the frame stamp image and used a scrap of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series papers for the bottom of the card and added a Poppy Parade cardstock ribbon piece to stitch the top and bottom of the card together.  I then added a rhinestoneaccent to the cardstock piece.  A simple birthday card that won't take long to create. 

Fresh Vintage and Loved Ones Card Box

This past week at a Hands On class I taught, we made this card packet.  It is a wonderful gift idea I hope you might try.  Here is how to make the box.  It was designed to hold 3 cards and envelopes plus a little compartment that holds the sayings from Stampin' Up!'s Loved Ones stamp set.  This set is a word set that for each family relationship it has a word plus a little accent to make it really cute. 

Loved Ones stamp set always makes the stamper smile.  I liked watching my customers stamp the different images because they smile that the DAD is open letters that are plaid, MOM has a flower image, etc.  These tags were 1" x 3", we stamped the border stamp from Stampin' Up!'s Fresh Vintage stamp set with Pool Party ink, then stamped the Loved Ones stamps over the top of that with Lucky Limeade.  to get the flag look on the end use the postage square punch and punch just the corner of the stamp from edge to edge and you get this look. 

The cards were 3 different base colors for the cards; Pool party, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, each card was cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded in half.  I added some Designer Series Paper 4 x 3" from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper pack you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration.  (GREAT paper), I then stamped on white cardstock the flower image from Fresh Vintage and backed each white piece of cardstock with one of the above colors and glued it to one of the cards making sure I use a different color from the base card.  I added a circle punched image and one of the Everyday Enchantment Brad and ribbon that was curled with scissors like you would curling ribbon. 

The box is created with a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock that is scored all the way around at 1" and 2".  Cut on the score line to the score lines on the inside 2" line to the 2" line on both short ends.  Then cut on both the 1" and 2" score lines to the 2" score line on the long edges, this will remove the top rectangle and give you flaps to fold into the box shape.  Put glue around edge and fold the edges over the flap to create a sturdy box.   The liner inside is how you make the compartments for the cards and tags.  Score a 8 1/4 x 4 3/8 piece of cardstock at 1 1/4, 2, 2 3/4.  Fold the 2" fold as a mountain and glue into your box. 

I added clear window sheet as the box cover, this one has black dots but you can use just clear.  Piece of window sheet is 7 x 11 1/2" score at 3 1/4, 4 1/4 plus one line, 8 7/8, 9 7/8 plus one line.  Make sure you use a bone folder to create good crease lines and glue around box.

Fresh Vintage card with embossed frame

This is one of my latest favorite cards I created.  It just turned out so elegant and was simple to make. 

Here is how to make it. I used Stampin' Up! in color Wisteria cardstock and marker for the flowers and Stampin' Up!'s in color Pear Pizzazz marker.  Fold a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock in half, Add a 5 1/4 x 2" piece of DSP.  I punched white cardstock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to create the lace and glued it above the DSP. 

I stamped a 2 x 3" piece of whisper white by coloring the rubber stamp image from Fresh Vintage Stamp set with wisteria and pear pizzazz markers, remember to "huff" on your stamp right before stamping to give you a clean bold image.  After you have stamped, I ran the image through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames Textured Impression embossing folders (these you can earn free during Sale-a-bration.  Make sure you emboss after you stamp. 

I layered this image with 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of wisteria cardstock and attached it to the card with dimensionals.  I used Stampin' Up! Loving Thoughts stamp set from the Occasions catalog. (I am loving this set, I even created more labels and attached them to the back of the card with dotto so I can change the saying to whatever I need at the time. The saying is 1/2" strip of white cardstock, stamp with Pear Pizzazz and them cut one end to look like a ribbon.  I attached it with dimensionals.

My Digital Studio Valentine

Since we are living in Saudi Arabia and Tysha is in the states I decided to create her Valentine's Card and gift in Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio program.  I had it printed in Print Services and sent directly to her.  I knew her card would get to her and not lost in the mail this way.  I also create a book for her I will get posted later this week. 

This card is apart of Stampin' Up!'s "you are loved" download.  It is a tri fold card.  I added my own words and pictures.  Downloading templates are the easiest way to create projects because most of the desgining and layers are all ready created for you.  Since I was not able to hand write a greeting in this card, I added a text box to the back and typed in my personal greeting.  This download has the card plus all the stamped images you see on the card and a few more.  I liked having the images so I could add one of them to my greeting on the back of this card.

In Stampin' Up!'s Occasion mini catalog they have 4 adorable individual stamps, the "packed for" series.  These little stamps are made up little images that can be used together or individually when cut out.  I love that you can purchase these individually or in a "Packed for Everything Stamp Bundle".  You save 25% when you purchased them all together.  The different stamps are:  Packed for Baby, Packed for Birthday, Packed for Dad, Packed for Mom.  I made the same card using each of the different stamps so you can see each one. 

The stamps are 2 x 2 1/2" and to created the border look I stamped them side by side on a strip of cardstock.  I stamped the image I wanted cut out on a separate piece of cardstock and cut it out and placed it over that image on the border strip with dimensionals.  Added a greeting from different greeting stamps and I have a great bundle of cards that would make a good gift or be used for any occasion.
