I loved visiting Ireland on our trip from Utah to Saudi. It was a great stop off point before getting Bryn back to school. We love the scenery, the estates and castles, the food and the people and can't wait to return there some day.
This month I was thinking about Ireland when I created one of the two-page spreads for my scrap class in September. I started with an idea page from Stampin' Up! convention and Stampin' Up!'s Lucky Limeade paper and added the new designer paper Patio Party. I have to admit that if you look at the paper and then this page it is hard to believe it was this paper but remember Stampin' Up!'s paper has two sides and the backs of the Patio Party paper has mellow colors and simple designs where the fronts have bold images and designs. It makes for a great paper pack when you can design and create such different looks from one pack.
I loved using the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits dies for the journaling block, you could also put a photo there if that would work better for you.
To create the accents for my page I used Stampin' Up! new Everything Eleanor stamp set. I must admit I love this stamp set. I like the flowers and how great they look cut and rounded and layered on a page but this stamp set is not just flowers it has a wonderful journaling block stamp that I punched with the largest scallop punch and a background swirl that is perfect for adding texture to your background cardstock. And the solid stamp from the Everything Eleanor is perfect for adding a pop of color to your page.
What would you use this two page spread for? Have you taken a special trip or would you use this for a special person? Leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.
