I believe that viewing oneself in scrapbooks helps you to see your value and accomplishments and I think this builds self esteem. I thought about that as I scrapbooked Bryn's choir concert that she played her violin in. It is sometimes very difficult to stand out of the crowd and show your talents but I think it is especially difficult when it is among your peers. I know that for me it was easier to teach a workshop than to demo for the company in front of hundreds of my peers. I know as we review the hard things in our lives we often see our strenghts.
Sometimes I think we purposely don't scrapbook hard things or sad things because we want our lives to look a certain way but I think it is good to look back on those hard times and see the growth that comes to us all.
This scrapbook page has a simple weave design where I took six 3/8" strips of designer series paper and weaved them one over the top of each other then glue it on the page at an angle. It creates a nice frame for both your pictures and accents.
I hope you will think about a hard time in your life and put your thoughts, feelings and pictures onto a page for you and your loved ones to review and see how much you learned.
