One of my favorite things about Christmas is the cards we receive catching us up on the happenings of our family and friends that live all across the country. This year sending and receiving cards is not as easy as dropping them in the mail and yet we are still sending and receiving it is just a lot slower than we are used to.
This card was special to me for several reasons this year; first is that it is from my mom and she handmade it. Making her Christmas cards has never been the easiest thing for my mom and yet each year she sits down early fall and designs and starts stamping. Second reason is that is was the first card to come our way. I had not expected for us to receive any cards because of the move so this was a wonderful surprise.
I love the little detail she did with the paper ribbon strip, the tucking in was unique and it really leads your eye from the greeting to the words. Great job mom!
