As a kid, if you were like me, pockets were the best thing ever. You put your hands in them and out of them, you gathered up rocks and leaves and flowers and put them in your pockets. You might have even got in trouble for sticking chocolate or a half licked sucker in your pockets to save them for later. We see that pockets are still the best thing ever for our teenagers who card their I-pods and cell phones in them. Well, as adult pockets are still just as special only now we create them for our scrap-book pages. I have been working on my Stampin' Up! Hawaii Incentive trip album, my down-line Jeanne made for me. She created pocket pages and I thought I would share some of the fun uses for pockets in our scrap-books.
#1 Pockets are a great idea for added journaling. It allows you to have the photos you want showing and the journaling tucked away behind your photos. Your journaling is still easy to pull up and read but gives you more space on a page for photos and accents.
#2 Pockets are a great place to tuck extra photos that won't fit on a page. I used this pocket to tuck the story of a gallery we went to in Hawaii, the photo is on the front and the story is on the back of the pull out card.
#3 Pockets are a great place to hold memorabilia. If you are like me you come home from trips with pamphlets or maps, postcards and notes that you want to incorporate in your scrap-book pages and pockets make a great place to hold these.
Try out one of these ideas in your next scrap-book page and tuck something special away in your adult pockets that will be special in the future to you and those you love.
