A couple of months ago we went down to Columbus Georgia as a family to visit Tysha at school and see her college concerts she was playing the Oboe in. As part of the weekend Tysha showed us her favorite places in Columbus. The river walk and a park she goes to when she needs to be alone or study for a test. We enjoyed walking along the river and just spending time together.
After we arrived home Tysha told us it was the best time ever and since I had taken some wonderful pictures I decided to make her a mini album. This design is the same concept of the Designer Series paper sampler Stampin' Up! had available at Leadership. Tanya, a scrap-booking friend, used this concept for a mini Europe album and it turned out so well I had to make one too. I cut my insides at 5" square and the pages stacked together are about 1" so the cover is 11" long and 5" wide scored at 5" from each end. It is a easiest to look at it by slipping the pages behind the one in front so I only put photos on the front of the pages. I used Tangerine Tango paper because orange is Tysha's favorite color and Washington Apple Designer Series paper for accents. Cheap Talk and Define your Life stamps sets finished off the album. The colors I used are Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango and So Saffron Classic inks.
The only problem I have with this album was once I finished it I did not want to give it away. I might have to make me another one or just enjoy it for a few weeks before I give it to my daughter.
This looks great! I like the idea of doing it like the little paper sampler. Thanks for sharing Wendy - I vote that you make another one so Tysha can still have hers.
