This past week I asked my girls to journal what they are thankful for and I hope to show you the pictures of these pages in the next few days but after asking them I decided to write down what I was thankful for and this little book seemed to be the best place to put what I am thankful for.
This book is made from the book basics, and the idea was shared with me by Meg on the way home from Leadership Summit. It is just one book basic sheet cut in half. The inside pages are 1/4" smaller than the cover and the crop a dial is the best way to punch your holes. The chipboard pieces are covered with the fall papers and I added a chipboard frame that was inked direct to paper technique with chocolate chip ink. The pages have tabs and I hand-wrote my thankful topic. It is always a good idea to hand write in your scrapbooks sometimes.
I love using mini photos and develop mine at Wolfe Camera.
I am thankful for many things but this week I am thankful for hot water and blessings. Our hot water heater broke on Sunday and sprayed water into my craft closet on top of hundreds of scrap booking pages and supplies I had stored for my gift making class. As bad as it sounds (it was bad) I am grateful that the paper soaked up the water so it did not spread throughout my basement. I am also grateful that most of the damage was to unmade paper kits and pages without photos. I was very grateful to take a hot shower this morning...
I tell you Wendy... you always look at the bright side and I totally admire that in you! That thankful album is adorable. What a great idea!!
