I received some wonderful Holiday cards that were hand stamped and I thought I would share a few with you today and tomorrow and share what I loved about each of them.
This card to the right was created by Sharon Field. When it came in the mail Ted did not recognize it as a hand stamped card. I loved the torn paper layer look that creates the background and she stamped the tree from Stampin' Up!'s Trendy Trees stamp set in chocolate chip and then embossed the leaves in white. I loved that she then created the shadow by stamping off until she got a light enough shadow look and then stamped on the card. I think this technique would be fun to do on other cards.
This next card was sent to me by Carol Gonzales. I love how pretty Stampin' Up!'s Gifts of Christmas stamp set is. She created this beautiful card by simply stamping the image in green and then adding red accents around the green images. I love the jumbo grommets with the knot accent. I really love the look of those grommets.
The last card today I want to share was made by Amber Allen. I loved that she used a full sheet of 8 1/2x 11 card stock and folded it in half to create a large card that has plenty of room for their family pictures and stamped images. I liked that she embossed the trees from Stampin' Up! hostess set patterned Pines. I also loved that her husband Clint cut out all those tree images they put on their cards.
All of these designs would be great for Holiday cards next year or think about changing the stamp set and trying these layouts with stamp sets for Spring.
